Four ways to pay at VPSGrid: PayPal, cards, and GoCardless Direct Debit
Checkout should never be the hard part of launching a VPS. We have expanded VPSGrid billing so customers can complete orders with the payment method that fits how they already buy online — whether that is a wallet, a card, or a bank Direct Debit mandate.
You can now pay for Linux VPS, Windows VPS, Custom VPS builds, domains, and add-ons using four customer-facing payment options in the client portal.
Payment methods available at checkout
- PayPal Wallet — Recommended — Pay with your PayPal balance or the funding source linked to your PayPal account. Fast for customers who already trust PayPal for online purchases.
- Credit/Debit Card — PayPal — Enter a Visa, Mastercard, or other supported card through PayPal’s card checkout without needing a separate PayPal wallet login flow for every purchase style.
- Credit/Debit Card — Authorize.Net — Card payments processed through Authorize.Net for customers who prefer a traditional merchant card path at checkout.
- Direct Debit — GoCardless — Set up a bank Direct Debit mandate through GoCardless. Ideal when you want recurring hosting invoices collected from your bank account after the mandate is approved.
Our goal is simple: give every customer an efficient path to complete an order. Multiple trusted processors mean fewer abandoned checkouts, clearer billing choices, and less friction when you are ready to deploy.
Which option should you choose?
- Need the fastest one-off checkout? Start with PayPal Wallet or a card option if you already have card details ready.
- Prefer bank collection for renewals? Choose Direct Debit — GoCardless. You will finish order details, then complete a short bank mandate setup with GoCardless.
- Want a familiar card form? Use Credit/Debit Card — Authorize.Net or Credit/Debit Card — PayPal depending on which flow you prefer at payment time.
How payment works in the portal
- Add a VPS plan, Custom VPS configuration, domain, or add-on to your cart and continue to checkout.
- Select one of the four payment methods shown on the order form or unpaid invoice.
- Confirm the order. Card and PayPal payments typically clear immediately; GoCardless continues to a secure bank mandate step before Direct Debit collection begins.
Security and billing clarity
Payments are handled by established processors — PayPal, Authorize.Net, and GoCardless — so card and bank details stay with the provider’s secure checkout, not in a custom form we invent. Invoices, receipts, and service status remain visible in your Client Area after payment.
