MarketConnect Services Overview
Short answerMarketConnect is how VPSGrid sells partner add-ons inside the same client area as VPS hosting — commonly SSL certificates, CodeGuard backups, OX business email, and site builders. You order in the store, VPSGrid handles billing, and the vendor provisions the product.
Overview
MarketConnect products are optional services separate from your VPS. They appear under Services → My Services after purchase and renew on their own billing cycle. Billing details: MarketConnect Billing and Renewals.
What you can order today
Availability can change, but VPSGrid currently offers these MarketConnect categories:
| Category | Typical use | Browse |
|---|---|---|
| SSL certificates | HTTPS for websites and apps (RapidSSL, GeoTrust, and related tiers) | SSL store |
| CodeGuard | Automated website/file backups with off-site retention tiers | CodeGuard store |
| OX App Suite | Business email and productivity mailboxes | Email store |
| Site Builder | Hosted drag-and-drop website builder plans | Site Builder store |
| Weebly | Alternative website builder tiers when shown in store | Website Builder store |
You can also discover add-ons from the client area homepage cards after logging in.
How ordering works
- Log in at billing.vpsgrid.net
- Open the relevant store category (SSL, CodeGuard, email, site builder) or homepage add-on card
- Select a plan tier and complete checkout
- Pay the invoice when prompted
- After provisioning, the product appears under Services → My Services
Some add-ons can be ordered alongside other products when WHMCS offers them at checkout; many are standalone purchases.
What happens after you buy
- VPSGrid creates a service record in your account
- The partner vendor provisions the SSL cert, backup account, mailbox, or builder workspace
- Activation emails or dashboard login links may come from the vendor workflow
- Renewal invoices are generated before the next due date — see the billing article linked above
MarketConnect add-ons do not replace VPS administration. Your VPS remains an unmanaged product unless you purchased a separate managed offering.
Support boundaries
| VPSGrid helps with | Vendor / you handle |
|---|---|
| Ordering, invoices, renewals, cancellations in WHMCS | Day-to-day use inside the vendor dashboard (site editor, mailbox setup, cert validation steps) |
| Account access issues tied to billing | Product feature limits for the tier you purchased |
| General orientation when possible | Third-party terms, privacy, and acceptable-use policies |
MarketConnect vs VPS hosting
- VPS — your virtual server (OS, apps, firewall, data). See What Is a VPS?
- MarketConnect add-on — a separate billed service (SSL, backups, email, builder) that may complement a VPS but is not the VPS itself
- Domains — registered/transferred separately; DNS still points to your VPS IP when hosting a site — How to Point a Domain to a VPS
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a VPS to buy SSL or CodeGuard?
Not always — many add-ons are standalone. You still need a place to host the website or app the product protects, which may or may not be a VPSGrid VPS.
Where do I manage the product after purchase?
Start in Services → My Services for billing status and any vendor login links. Feature configuration usually happens in the vendor-provided dashboard.
Will an add-on install software on my VPS automatically?
Generally no. SSL validation, backup agents, or mail DNS may require steps you perform on the VPS or at your DNS host.
